The Current State

Medical scoring systems are fundamental to modern clinical practice. With over 1.5 million PubMed publications referencing these systems, their importance in clinical decision-making cannot be overstated. These tools have revolutionized healthcare by enabling rapid assessments and faster decisions, with platforms like MDCalc being used weekly by 68% of U.S. physicians and adopted across more than 200 countries.

The Challenge

Despite their widespread adoption, current platforms have significant limitations. They struggle to support:

  • Medical center-specific scoring systems
  • Newly published scoring methods
  • Systems still under active research

For example, the Nelwan Score and Gadjah Mada Score, widely used in Indonesian medical centers, remain unavailable in current medical calculator apps. Similarly, HADES, a scoring system for early detection of Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) published in early 2025, lacks any app implementation. This gap significantly hinders the adoption of valuable new scoring systems.

Our Solution

DxCalc addresses this critical need through an AI-powered medical scoring system app-builder. Our platform dramatically reduces the time and cost barriers to implementing custom scoring systems. We enable physicians and researchers to transform their scoring specifications into functional, shareable applications within seconds, making it easier than ever to deploy and distribute new medical scoring systems.
